A while ago we covered a story about Digimon having a special surprise in store for their 20th Anniversary website. The countdown had recently ended. And we finally find out just what that surprise was…and it’s the re-release of the original device.

The original Digivices have gone through some upgrades though, it takes a considerably less time to take care of them for one. There’s a single player arena mode. And you can battle other people; even if they have a device from the original release. You can also still feed, play, and fuse your monsters.

The Digivices come in two colors: “Original Brown” and “Original Grey.” The difference between the two is Agumon is exclusive to the former, and Gabumon is exclusive to the latter. But with careful leveling and trading you could end up with an Omnimon.

Retro-Bit has debuted the Super Retro Boy. The handheld will allow you to play all Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance games.

The Super Retro Boy will be available starting August 2017 and will retail for $79.99. If you have some old games you’ve been dying to play with now’s your chance. Some say that roms just don’t feel the same as actually having the game in your hands.

Fatal Fighter is the newest brawler that will feature an all-female cast.

The trailer dropped for the game introduces various characters and so far they’re all female.

There isn’t much information so far about how many characters it’s going to have or much information on the backstory to any of the characters yet.

The game will offer both network and spectator play to connect with other players, and is supposedly releasing later this year.

There’s tons of fans service in the game from bouncy….to short tops and mini skirts. For a game that’s still in it’s infancy it doesn’t look that bad. It could end up rivaling Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat.

However, there might be some mixed feelings about this game within the feminist community. It’s probably a good thing overall for women to finally have a game with all female characters since a lot of the older games began with an all male cast. Let us know what you think in the comments below.

Square Enix launched a short film where we see the cartoon character Malboro-kun as he runs away from a giant monster. Then Yama-chan appears and quickly makes mince meat out of the tentacled threat.

Yama-chan is the owner of a bar in the immigrant district in Insomnia, where the Kingsglaive members often go to dine, as we can see in a scene of the film itself. He’s known for his dish Malbo Smul, and this time around we get to see how he procures his meat. This was shocking to say the least.

How could he do that to Malboro-kun?! The ending almost makes the video completely pointless.

Resident Evil: Vendetta (known as Biohazard: Vendetta in Japan) released a trailer for the English-language CG film based on the survival horror game series by Capcom.

Resident Evil: Vendetta is directed by Takanori Tsujimoto. The film infects theaters in Japan on May 27, 2017. No details so far on a US release, but it shouldn’t be too long since the trailer is already in English.

Sadly, just four days before it’s scheduled release Pokemon Prism, a fan project, was stopped dead in it’s tracks by a cease & desist order from Nintendo.

Considering last month Pokémon Uranium was removed from the ballot at this year’s The Game Awards, news also came out today that fan project Pokémon Prism has been cancelled also. However, not to confuse anyone Pokemon Uranium was released it just got removed from the ballot at The Game Awards.

Announcing the ROM hack’s fate via Twitter, the game’s creator accompanied his message with a notice from Nintendo’s Australian-based legal team, which cites Pokémon Prism as an “unauthorized use of Nintendo’s intellectual property rights.”

Nintendo explains that allowing Pokémon Prism to happen wouldn’t be fair to them, as it would “undercut the hard work and dedication of the highly creative people and innovative staff at Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, who have worked for over 2o years on the Pokémon franchise.”

Pokémon Prism was in development for eight years and was slated to launch this Christmas. The creator’s previous works, Pokémon Brown and Pokémon Rijon Adventures, must be removed as well according to the documents. Pokémon Prism was going to feature an all new region, an original story, customizable characters, and the ability to play as one of your Pokémon.

Many fans have requested an “accidental release,” which at this point doesn’t seem at all likely to happen.
