Hayate the Combat Butler is one of the first manga’s to parody and heavily reference other manga works. It pushed the boundaries of what is allowed and not allowed in regards to referencing other manga. It’s hard to believe that the manga has been running since way back in 2004.
Hayate the Combat Butler tells the story of Hayate an extremely poor boy who finds himself the butler to a rich girl named Nagi. Will his curse become a blessing? As he is constantly in the middle of love triangles, gets pulled in to fights, etc.
This year is truly a big upset to many Anime fans in a way. A lot of great mangas have finished recently, such as, Naruto, Bleach, Toriko, etc. and even Assassination Classroom. One thing that is strange to an anime fan is seeing the show through from beginning to end when the span of the show is literally almost half a lifetime. Dragon Ball came out almost 30 years ago in 1989 for example. While, I’m pretty sure most DBZ fans are under 20 years old.
