Titanfall 2 has been released for over a week now, and the general consensus is that it’s a great game. Most reviewers and websites agree that Titanfall 2 is better than the original. With a great campaign and multiplayer, it was a surprise to many how it undersold. Being released on Xbox, PC, and now PS4 it still sold less than the original.

There are many reasons that Titanfall 2 might have undersold. But a major one might have been Titanfall’s publishers (EA) own fault.

Within the same week of Titanfall 2’s release, the long awaited Battlefield 1 was also released. With more name recognition and more advertisements, EA shot itself in the foot.

Though it might have been the right move on EA’s part. Battlefield 1 sold more copies than battlefield 4 and Hardline. But many wonder how much more they could have made if they just released their two games further apart.

We can only imagine why EA decided to do this, but Titanfall 2 deserves better. I personally recomend this game, and hope that it’s critical success helps it make another sequel.
