Niantic has finally released a new nearby tracking feature, but not to everyone just yet. The new nearby feature shows Pokemon near a Pokestop or landmark to help ease finding certain Pokemon.
This long awaited feature has been something that fans have been asking for since Niantic removed all third-party apps that essentially did the same thing.
Now we finally get this feature back, Niantic is slowly releasing it to the public by giving some select players this feature.
In a tweet they said,
Trainers in parts of Arizona, the Seattle area of Washington state, and the rest of the SF Bay area can now test the new Nearby Pokémon feature.”
Many are still frustrated by the fact that they haven’t implementing this feature much sooner and that it is still not available to every trainer at the moment. But with a feature this big, it helps when developers test things out in order to smooth things along before there’s an official release of the feature. So when it officially releases it can run flawlessly.
With this big update, and their past Halloween update, it looks like Niantic is finally listening to their fans.
Ever since the games release the number of active players peaked and has steadily dropped, but with their new content update it looks like Pokemon GO might make a quick comeback.
