Google’s AlphaGo made it’s crowning achievement earlier this year when it defeated the world’s Go champion. However, now the AlphaGo has set its goals on even higher heights as it takes on the challenge of mastering Starcraft II.

Google said it had finished negotiations with Blizzard that would allow the creation of an interface that would allow the AI to connect with the games software. It doesn’t seem like Deep Mind (synonous with AlphaGo) is quiet at that level where it can play Starcraft expertly. They are hopeful that Starcraft can help form a breakthrough in machine intelligence.
