Vavle is turning a new direction by banning all concept art and pre-rendered stills from it’s online store’s pages. This new initiative is to promote the fact that the screenshots you see of the game are actually representative of the game’s actual in-game-experience.
Which makes complete sense, this seems like something that would actually make people a lot more happier with their purchases. How many times have you looked at a game, thought it looked cool, then purchased it to only later find out that the game sucks. Valve is only trying to protect it’s clientele by insuring that they receive exactly what they purchased. This is all to show people what they are purchasing; without the smoke and mirrors or any other tricks.
