Ninantic the Pokemon Go Developers has revoked legendary Pokemon from users accounts after alleged allegations of legendary Pokemon sightings.

Below is a statement from Ninantic given to IGN the gaming news site:

We recently noticed that a few Legendary Pokemon got into a few accounts when they shouldn’t have, To preserve the game’s integrity and as a measure of fairness, we have rectified the situation and revoked the legendary Pokemon from the Trainers’ accounts.”

Apparently these legendarys were “let out” by accident due to a server malfunction in the Ohio area. The legendary that was most commonly seen was Articuno, the legendary bird of ice. Regardless, of Ninantic’s statement removing the legendarys may not have been the right move. While these Pokemon have not officially been released, it doesn’t seem right to just remove a legendary Pokemon from a user’s account. Especially considering the spirit of the game that Ninantic has been trying to preserve.

This is really messed up on Ninantic’s part. I don’t think they should have removed the legendarys from the players accounts.
