The Hollywood Reporter states that the Pokemon Company and Legendary Pictures have worked out a deal for the rights to a live-action Pokemon movie. And no, it’s not going to be one of those reboots or origin story movies. The movie will be based off of Detective Pikachu. Despite the title above, the film doesn’t actually begin production until 2017.

Rough Translation:

This is Game Freak’s Junichi Masada.

Everyone in Japan we’ve had some trouble and for the wait we apologize.

Pokemon Go is finally ready to be released in Japan.

Simply repeats the same advice of being careful that was stated in English before.

The Pokemon franchise began in Japan and so they tend to get everything Pokemon months or even years before the rest of the world does. However, this time they are actually getting to experience Pokemon Go much later than the rest of us. Pokemon Go has been out in the U.S. for sometime now. It’s kind of shocking to know that Japan is barely starting to play. So, far the game is smashing records. This game is definitely getting people to talk and go outside into the real world.
