The first images of the new Power Rangers were released last month by Entertainment Weekly showing the cast of new rangers.
Compared to the original Power Rangers:
This week the “villain,” for the film has been released. A familiar enemy, Rita Repulsa (Elizabeth Banks), will be facing off against the rangers once again.
Banks had this to say about her role:
“It’s definitely a modern and edgy re-imagining of the original Rita Repulsa …we wanted to give her a backstory that connects her to the new Rangers.”
