Amazon has filed a patent requesting the rights of allowing customers to pay by selfie, but only after providing proof that they are in fact that said person. Verification will be done by having that person blink and/or smile during the selfie. So, that kind of makes it more like a Snapchat message.

Amazon plans to use a special face recognition software to validate people. The patent also seems to hint at the fact of using an eye scan to help confirm people when the technology becomes available. If this idea wasn’t already taken; it will be a sad day for patent trolls who live for this kind of thing. It’s such a simple idea, Selfie Pay that is, that it kind of makes people think, “that’s so obvious, I should have thought of that.”

Damn! The people at Amazon are geniuses, this is a really cool idea. Just wish I would have thought of it sooner than maybe I could be a patent troll, lol.
