Anime logic makes sense in a weird way…Luffy is from the series called One Piece. It’s a show about how Gold D. Roger the last pirate king left all of his treasure in One Piece. Whoever is said to find the treasure and claim it will be the next king of the pirates. Anyways, in the One Piece universe there is this thing called a devil fruit which is said to give people cursed powers. The main character of the show Luffy, who wants to be the next pirate king, ate the devil fruit known as Gomu Gomu no Mi (Gum Gum fruit) which turned him into a rubber man.
Yes, this is hard to follow if you’ve never seen the show before. Anyways, after years of being a rubber man and traveling through the world, Luffy discovered that his devil fruit powers also gives him special abilities, such as his various gears.
Second Gear pumps blood from Luffy’s legs which moves throughout his body at an accelerated rate, if it weren’t for his rubber heart it would be an impossible technique since it would literally tear anyone else’s heart apart. Second gear allows Luffy to move at an extremely fast pace.
Third Gear is known as the bone balloon. This technique gives Luffy massive size and tremendous strength. The technique originally had a side effect that made Luffy tiny for a some time, but as Luffy got used to Third Gear it wasn’t an issue any more. Tonight, on One Piece’s newest episode #726 Fourth Gear is finally going to be revealed. We aren’t going to spoil it for everyone, but at the same time we are excited to see what happens. To
