Last night the trailer for the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was released on YouTube. This film is part of a trilogy of new Harry Potter films that are yet to be released. The story is based off of one of Harry’s textbooks that was on his school supply list for his first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The real life writer’s name, J. K. Rowling, does not appear on the book. Instead, the book is presented as one of Harry’s textbooks where the author is said to be Newt Scamander. Newt Scamander is a Magizoologist; in the Harry Potter series Magizoology is the study of mythical creatures. The book contains the history of Magizoology and describes the 85 types of magical species found around the world. Newt collected most of the information over the years while traveling across five continents.  In case anyone was wondering, Newt was a Hufflepuff when he attended Hogwarts
